Last month, we talked about the importance of maintaining a clear and balanced energy field and would now like to expand on maintaining our mental health. We always go to different lengths to look after our bodies. We pay for gym memberships, hire personal trainers, and book in massages to ensure that physically, we are healthy and strong. The same idea goes for other things in our lives, such as our cars. We listen out for sounds that don’t seem right and keep an eye on our KMs so we don’t wait too long to book in our car for a service. But what it seems we don’t readily do is look out for signs when we need to ‘tune up’ our mental health.
We always have a “go to” person for everything – a doctor that we prefer, a hairdresser, even a barista, but we don’t usually have a “go to” person that we can debrief with. It is very easy to get bogged down and caught up in our own thoughts and emotions. Having a third party that we can go to and discuss honestly and openly what we are feeling allows us to find the key to underlying issues and work with support on resolving them. You will find that being able to simply mull things over and receive a bit of guidance can go a long way towards positive mental health.
Unfortunately, I have found that there is still a stigma that surrounds the idea of seeing a counsellor. There are different misconceptions that people still believe apply to seeing a mental health professional, such as that they are weak or that there is something wrong with them. It is these ideas that need to be broken down. The truth of the matter though is, those that seek counselling, actually show strength and courage in wanting to take responsibility and change their circumstances.
The health of our minds is so important. We need to make sure we take the right steps to maintaining our mental health as, at the end of the day, where our mind goes, everything follows. When we are overwhelmed or feeling the effects of stress, our bodies will follow suit physically. Left unchecked, we will see our bodies react, and chances are, we will fall into a downward spiral.
Where we are mentally can change our perceptions of our reality, and if we feel down or stuck, of course it will only lead to us manifesting that state in our lives. There can be underlying issues or blocks that you might not be consciously aware of that with the help of a professional, you will be able to clear in a productive way. When you take the steps to take care of your mental health you will without a doubt see the benefits of it in your life.
There are many tools that we can call upon to help support a lasting and deeper feeling of happiness. For example, hypnotherapy. Just as our bodies feel amazing after regular massages or a spa day, a regular hypnotherapy session is great for boosting confidence and motivation when we are feeling a little disappointed and disillusioned from everyday life and we feel lacking in these areas. Imagine how wonderful it would feel to be able to actively change negative thought and behaviour patterns that bear down on us. There should not be a stigma around this activity, as it means you are only moving forward in your life in a positive and healthy manner.
If you are yet to experience the benefits of the services we provide, we are offering a special this month for an initial session of an hour and a half for the price of $145 – normally $180. This offer is also open to those that have been before but would like to check back in. Valid until the end of September, we urge anyone feeling drained or stuck mentally to get in touch with us to see how we can help change your reality for the better.
